Elizabeth Smith is a 50 year-old who got caught up in a bad
relationship, which led to drug abuse. She had been in and
out of prisons and jails at least 15 times. In 2005, her
life changed. She became a participant in the Turn About
Program because she wanted to give herself a chance, this
time. While in T.A.P., she learned the meaning of
responsibilities and the importance of being able to make
better choices. When she returned from prison this last
time, she went back to school and stayed connected to
positive people. At present, she is preparing for her G.E.D,
is gainfully employed with the Marian House and remains
clean and sober. Elizabeth describes her future as being
‘bright’. She is now serving on the Board of Directors of
Out For Justice, Inc. |
