Hand in Hand Baltimore (HIH) provides Mental health and Case Management services for youth (under 18 years old) who are charged as adults and residing within the Baltimore City Detention Center (BCDC). The mission of HIH is to combat juvenile recidivism by connecting youth to opportunities (education, life skills, employment, etc.), providing free mental health and rehabilitation services while youth are in BCDC waiting upon their release into the community. All youth graduating from HIH will leave with a life plan, stable mental health and the ability to empower their families, communities and lives.
